Giải thưởng uy tín nhất của ngành công nghiệp game thế giới – The Game Awards 2018 đã công bố toàn bộ các hạng mục đề cử cho sự kiện năm nay, và nhận được hàng tỷ vote từ các game thủ trên toàn thế giới. Đây là lần thứ 5, sự kiện này luôn được các game thủ trông ngóng hàng năm. Ai sẽ soán ngôi vương của Link trong Zelda: Breath of the Wild đây?

Thời gian và địa điểm diễn ra sự kiện The Game Awards

Thứ Sáu, ngày 7 tháng 12 lúc 8:30 sáng theo giờ Việt Nam. Sự kiện này sẽ được phát trực tuyến từ nhà hát Microsoft Theater ở Los Angeles, California, USA.

Game Awards 2018 sẽ được chiếu trực tiếp trên các website lớn như IGN, Twitch, Youtube và các phương tiện truyền thông khác, các fan hâm mộ có thể xem bất cứ đâu trên các ứng dụng dành cho các loại thiết bị di động.

Phần lớn những gì sẽ có trong chương trình đều là bí mật, trừ danh sách đầy đủ các ứng cử viên. Marvel’s Spider-Man, God of War và Red Dead Redemption 2 đều được xướng tên cho Game xuất sắc nhất năm, cùng với việc được đề cử cho các hạng mục khác, bao gồm cả Cốt truyện hay nhất, Chỉ đạo xuất sắc nhất và Game hành động / phiêu lưu hay nhất.

God of War và Red Dead Redemption 2 được gắn liền với hầu hết các đề cử cho năm 2018. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Monster Hunter World và Celeste cũng được đề cử cho Game xuất sắc nhất năm.
